Director's StatementThere were truly special moments while shooting this film where I felt I was truly in the room with Anne and Peter.
This was my first budgeted short film, inspired by Anne Frank and Peter van Pels' friendship, and my interpretation of one of the ways they survived: escaping into their minds and thinking of the future, even in all its uncertainty. Impeccable job done by both actors.
Shot with a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera and a Sigma 18–35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art Lens.
Written for the film, and heard in a short excerpt within it — performed in full here.
