The Cornerstone Chronicles

The Pulse of My Past — a documentary tracing an unbroken chain of foundational American history, woven directly into one family's bloodline.

Logline

When a filmmaker digs into their family genealogy, they uncover a rare, unbroken chain of foundational American history — unearthing official archives of an ancestor who walked beside George Washington, museum artifacts from pioneer migrations, and the roots of a literary empire, revealing that the birth of a nation is a living pulse in their own veins.

Project Pitch

Every nation has its founding myths, but few family trees hold the literal receipts of how America was built. The Cornerstone Chronicles: The Pulse of My Past is a premium, highly cinematic documentary project that traces an exceptionally rare lineage woven directly into the fabric of the United States.

We begin in the mud and musket smoke of the Revolutionary War with a Frenchman, Charles Dequasie, whose official archived accounts place him walking directly alongside George Washington. From there, the bloodline expands into a series of astonishing, tangible survivals: a 1640 royal land patent used by Thomas Sayre to found Southampton; a pioneer wagon sitting in a museum today as the finest, most authentic piece of Smithsonian-validated transit in the country; and a family branch that built the iconic Funk & Wagnalls publishing empire.

This isn't just a history lesson — it is a prestige, visual journey showing how grand, epoch-defining history leaves a permanent footprint on the present. By blending museum-grade artifacts, hidden archives, and an intimate personal lens, The Cornerstone Chronicles proves that the past isn't dead; it beats inside us.
